Award recipients will receive a certificate signed by their Premier and a prize of $5,000.
Individuals and organization in the NWT can apply for this award by filling out a Nomination Package which can be found by clicking here.ย
Nomination packages will be accepted until ๐€๐ฉ๐ซ๐ข๐ฅ ๐Ÿ‘๐ŸŽ, ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ. The awardโ€™s objective is to highlight innovation in non-governmental, private, academic sectors and Indigenous-led initiatives. It is not meant to recognize or reward programs or services that are wholly funded and run by the Government of the Northwest Territories.

This is the second initiative Canadaโ€™s Premiers have undertaken to encourage innovation in mental health and addictions care. The first one was the production of a 13-episode podcast series called Promising Practices. You can listen to NWTโ€™s podcast here to learn more about On the Land Healing programs.
