Volunteer Opportunity: Help Shape the Future of RPN Assessment

last updated: April 16, 2025

Inspire Global Assessments is seeking Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) subject matter experts (SMEs) to support the development of a new RPN competency assessment in 2025–2026. This is a meaningful opportunity to contribute to the profession, grow your skills, and connect with RPNs across Canada.

What’s Involved

Selected subject matter experts (SMEs) will work closely with Inspire Global Assessments to support the full development process of a new RPN competency assessment. This exciting opportunity will see SMEs contribute in meaningful ways—helping to identify the key competencies that should be evaluated, writing and reviewing exam questions and simulation scenarios, participating in pre-launch testing, and assisting in setting the final scoring standards.

The role is part-time, with most tasks completed remotely, offering flexibility for working professionals. No previous experience as a subject matter expert is necessary—just a passion for advancing the RPN profession and a willingness to collaborate.

Why Get Involved?

This is a unique chance to support and strengthen your profession while growing your own knowledge of assessment and evaluation practices. You’ll be able to share your expertise and insights, influence the next generation of competency standards, and build valuable connections with fellow RPNs from across Canada. Whether you’re looking to give back, learn something new, or expand your professional network, this opportunity is a meaningful way to make a national impact.
