The College of Nurses of the Northwest Territories and Nunavut (CANNN) has updated its nursing practice hour requirements to better align with national standards and evolving regulatory practices.
To qualify for licensure, applicants must now meet one of the following:
-
1,125 practice hours within the past five years, or
-
450 practice hours within the past two years
This change reflects current best practices across Canadian jurisdictions and supports safe, competent nursing across the Northwest Territories and Nunavut.
Didn’t meet the hour requirement?
You may now apply for a competency assessment through Inspire Global Assessments to support your eligibility for licensure.
All other licensure requirements remain the same.
