Participate in Research on Healthcare Provider Retention

last updated: August 30, 2024

We are excited to share an important opportunity for healthcare providers across Canada to participate in a new research study led by Dr. Margaret McKinnon’s Trauma and Recovery Research Unit at McMaster University. Since 2020, this team has been exploring the mental health and experiences of healthcare providers during and beyond the COVID-19 pandemic.

In their latest study, the focus is on understanding the factors that influence healthcare providers to either leave or stay within their current healthcare organization or profession. This research is vital in addressing ongoing challenges in the healthcare sector and improving support for providers.

To be eligible to participate, you must currently work as a healthcare provider in Canada (e.g., respiratory therapist, nurse, physician, occupational therapist, personal support worker), be able to speak and read English, and be willing to complete a brief online survey, which will take approximately 15-20 minutes.

If you are interested in contributing to this meaningful research, please follow this link to participate in the study. For any questions or further information, you are welcome to contact the research team at dalesa1@mcmaster.ca.

Your participation could help shape the future of healthcare in Canada—thank you for considering being part of this important work.
