CIPHI members and Canada’s environmental public health professionals are involved in all
aspects of an individual’s environment: the food they eat, the water they drink, the air they
breathe, and the homes and communities in which they live, work, and recreate. Through
education, advice, inspections, and enforcement, environmental public health professionals help
to support the public health system and ensure that all parts of the community are safe and
healthy. On top of already heavy workloads, environmental public health professionals also
helped manage this summer’s wide-ranging, unprecedented and devastating environmental
impacts of climate change.
September 20th – 26th marks the 2021 Environmental Public Health week. Thank you to
environmental public health professionals for keeping us safe!
