Alinity: Registrant Portal

Alinity is the new registrant portal for the College and Association of Nurses of the Northwest Territories and Nunavut (CANNN). It gives applicants and registrants secure access to their online profile to complete applications and renewal, upload documents, request verifications of registration, and participate in the Quality Assurance (QA) Program.

Alinity is a secure, cloud‑based registrant management system used by many Canadian health‑care regulators. CANNN is adopting Alinity to improve reliability, security, and the registrant experience.

Alinity uses modern security practices and multi‑factor verification (one‑time codes by email) to help protect your account. Please keep your email secure and never share your password.

No, you will not need to create a new account. When Alinity goes live, you’ll receive a ‘Welcome to Alinity’ email at the address we have on file. The first time you sign in, simply use the Forgot your password option to set a new password.

If you can no longer access the email on your old profile, contact us at info@cannn.ca and we will verify your identity and update your profile. There is no need to create a second account. Please note that each registrant must use a unique email address for security and account recovery. Some documents or history may take extra time to appear in your profile during the transition, but if something seems to be missing, just email us and we’ll review it with you.

  1. Sign in to Alinity
  2. Select Download Registration (left menu)
  3. Click Download for the current licensure year.

Use Verify a Nurse (Public Register) to search by name or number. Your Alinity dashboard will also show your current status once renewal is complete.

Your QA/CCP for the next licensure year appears after you fully complete renewal (submitted, reviewed as needed, payment received, and status updated). See Quality Assurance Program for help with planning and reflections.

Please Note: Verification of Registration functionality is coming soon — in the meantime, please email info@cannn.ca for requests.

After signing in to Alinity and once the Verification of Registration is live you can manage both tasks directly from your dashboard. To update your profile (such as name, contact information, or employment), go to My Profile > Edit Profile and make your changes. Updates like name changes that require review will be approved by CANNN staff before they become active.

To request a Verification of Registration, select Verification of Registration under My Forms, click Fill In, complete the required fields, and submit payment. Please allow up to 10 business days for processing. The status will display as Approved once complete.
